It's me! Josh Hirschman! I'm the sole owner and operator. I moved to Bend in 2019 from Gunnison, Colorado where I got a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. I'm originally from Massachusetts where I grew up camping with the family and biking with (and stealing tools from) my dad.
What I'm Passionate About
I'm a mountain biker, a snowboarder (that's me on the left!), a skier, a skateboarder, an ultimate frisbee player, a runner, a camper, a hiker, and otherwise an enthusiast of the outdoors. I'm also a tinkerer, and lucky enough for me being a lover of the outdoors comes with oh so much gear to tinker with. I'm the proud owner of seven bikes (pictured below), all of which I do all my own work on, some of which I built from the frame up. Waxing any one of my four pairs of skis or four snowboards gives me almost as much joy as putting them away in their hand-made storage racks. Aside from actually recreating outside, working with my hands building and fixing is really at the core of what I love to do.
Work History
I officially opened for business this year! Prior to starting the business I worked as an IT Technician at Mt. Bachelor where I learned a lot about low voltage electrical and commercial mountain resort infrastructure. Before that, I worked at a construction company doing mostly exterior residential siding as well as some windows, doors, painting and decks. Beyond that, in my free time I do a lot of woodworking and personal projects. I love optimizing my workshop and building custom storage solutions for all my outdoor gear and tools. Of course, I'm also in charge of all other house projects that typically involve some carpentry, painting, furniture repair or assembly, and installing shelves, blinds, curtains, medicine cabinets and things of the like.
